Hard Rock Tejon opened in November 2025 about 15 miles south of Bakersfield, off Interstate 5 and Highway 99, and it has been crowded since. Weekends get packed, and some players think there aren't enough machines or enough game variety for the numbers. So far the restaurants carry its reputation. Diners praise the cooking and attentive service at Deep Cut, the dumplings and pork bowls at YouYu, and meals at The Roost and the Hard Rock Cafe.
Smoke is the most common complaint. Reviewers say it hits at the door, and that the small nonsmoking section does little good when people light up there anyway. Others mention slow cocktail service and a building that already looks grubby in the corners and restrooms. Reviews indicate the casino is 21 and over; one family stopping with a child was turned away at the entrance.

This place is very busy and super packed. I don't think they have enough machines for the crowd. It's more like a club where the young people come to hook up. I'm excited to see when they build the rest of the casino hotel. The model looks great. Also it's hot in there. The Pho was good but not enough meat.

We went to YOUYU the food was amazing. The service from Hannah was awesome. We ordered the spicy pork dumplings, the BBQ pork bowl , the General TSO chicken and the ice cream for desert. Everything was absolutely delicious will definitely be returning! Absolutely recommend trying this place!
