Casinos in Detroit

All three of Michigan's commercial casinos are in Detroit, in and around downtown and a short drive from one another. MGM Grand Detroit is the only one that still runs a live poker room, open around the clock, and pairs it with a BetMGM sportsbook and a hotel. MotorCity Casino Hotel on Grand River Avenue has 400 rooms, a FanDuel sportsbook and the Sound Board theater. Hollywood Casino at Greektown, run by PENN Entertainment and called Greektown Casino until 2022, sits in the Greektown neighborhood with a 30 story hotel tower and its own sportsbook.

All 3 venues in Detroit, ranked

How the ranking works. Venues are ordered by their Google rating, weighted by how many people left one: every rating is blended with a neutral 4.0 as if the venue had 200 more reviews at 4.0, so a 4.6 from thousands of reviews ranks above a 5.0 from a dozen. Sponsorship has no effect on the order. Ratings last checked October 2026.
