Sacramento and the Gold Country
Sacramento itself has no tribal casinos; the slot resorts are in the suburbs and foothills around it. Inside the city are three card rooms, all 21 and over and without slots. Capitol Casino, just north of downtown, has a big poker room and a kitchen known for Asian food, the Limelight on Alhambra Boulevard is a pub with a small card room in back, and Parkwest Lotus on Stockton Boulevard in south Sacramento centers on baccarat and blackjack.

How the ranking works. Venues are ordered by their Google rating, weighted by how many people left one: every rating is blended with a neutral 4.0 as if the venue had 200 more reviews at 4.0, so a 4.6 from thousands of reviews ranks above a 5.0 from a dozen. Sponsorship has no effect on the order. Ratings last checked October 2026.
The nearest tribal casinos are Sky River in Elk Grove to the south and Thunder Valley in Lincoln to the northeast. Hard Rock Sacramento is farther north in Wheatland, Red Hawk is up Highway 50 to the east, and Cache Creek is out in the Capay Valley to the northwest. More card rooms sit in the suburbs, including Stones in Citrus Heights, Parkwest Cordova in Rancho Cordova and EDH Casino in El Dorado Hills.
