The short version
Naskila is the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe's casino outside Livingston, and it pulls day trippers from Houston and even Dallas. On a good day it's about the machines: several regulars mention hand pays and decent wins, there are separate smoking and nonsmoking areas, and someone greets you at the door. The grill gets praise for its catfish and shrimp plates, and the restrooms stay clean.
The building is too small for the crowds it draws. On weekends people describe lines just to get on a slot, players holding two or three machines at once, and cars parked wherever they could fit. Worse, the air conditioning gave out in part of the casino this summer, and several visitors called it sweltering, with older guests struggling in the heat. Most machines are now dollar or penny games, and plenty of players left saying they barely pay.

Wonderful time , everytime we visit Naskila Casino - we played from about 130pm was very crowded for a sunday afternoon .

The young petite skinny lady had butterfly clips in her hair was a bit rude and came off as pretentious. Looked me right in my eyes and didn’t ask if I wanted anything to drink but ask the gentleman right behind me. That sort of put a bad taste in my mouth. But I did have a good day and won.

My wife and I have both received handpays at this casino. It is located exactly 1 hour from our house, so we go there frequently. There are smoking and non-smoking areas so we do appreciate that. We are non-smokers. Our only complaint about

Couldn’t even get to a slot to play it unless it was $9 a spin or more. There were literally lines to play the slots. I ordered the stuffed jalapeño shrimp and it was terrible. I sent it back. AC did not work in Half of the building. It was so hot. I’ll pass on this place again.the smoking room has no ventilation. I don’t know how those people stayed in there. It was horrible.
