The short version
Sky River sits right off Highway 99 in Elk Grove, which makes it the easy choice for much of south Sacramento, and it is often packed. The market hall gets the most mentions, especially its pho counter, alongside a steakhouse for a bigger night out and bars with attentive bartenders. Prices in the market keep creeping up, and a couple of diners now find the food court overpriced, one citing a $20 bowl of pho.
Fans point to a clean, modern floor with new games, including a few they hadn't seen elsewhere, and staff who handle weekend crowds well. Reports on the ventilation disagree. Most of the negative reviews, though, are about the machines: a long line of players rank them among the tightest they have played and say bonuses barely cover what went in. Construction on the parking lot and a hotel project has been ongoing during recent visits.
