Most reviews of the 500 Club are about dinner. The Shaw Avenue card room in Clovis has a restaurant and bar in a room apart from the tables, and the menu wanders widely: pho, wings, Mongolian and basil beef, butter chicken, burgers that come with a heap of fries, fish and chips, breakfast plates. Prices are fair and the kitchen stays open late, which suits card players coming off a session.
Quality is uneven. For every diner who loved the pho or the wings, someone else got salty broth, beef that tasted off, or a long wait to be noticed, and a regular sums it up by saying service depends on which server you get. Security and floor staff draw complaints for confronting guests quickly. Card players say little about the games themselves; the few who do grumble about rude players and new management.

I was on Clovis Ave and asked Google where I could get fish and chips near me and this place popped up. I was only a couple of blocks away so why not?
I went into the bar area (they club area is a separate room) and told the waitress that Google informed they served fish and chips. She confirmed and a few minutes…
The food and drinks are everything. That beef pho was delicious. The salmon was on point. And the chicken wings are crunchy and dipped in the right amount of sauce. The waitress was right on time keeping my water cup full.
Did not gamble here but I did have dinner. Ordered Butter Chicken and Basil Beef plates. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Waitress was extremely helpful and friendly. We sat and enjoyed watching the exciting card tables in action. We both very much enjoyed the dining experience here.
The barbecue bacon burger was pretty good and they give you a lot of fries. They make the burger look small.
