The short version

What visitors say about Thunderbird Casino Shawnee

Thunderbird is a compact slots room on Shawnee's south side that keeps set hours, closing at 2 a.m. and reopening at 10. Regulars call it clean and laid back, rarely busy, with almost every machine in working order and friendly staff. There's free soft serve on the floor, though it's been vanilla only since the machine was replaced, and one longtime player says it's closer to ice milk.

Payouts are the main gripe, with a string of reviews saying the machines have tightened and free play offers have thinned. Some regulars feel watched by floor staff. A New Year's Eve VIP party left one longtime player stuck in hour long lines at the door and the bar.

always clean. Almost all the machines work too unlike other casinos. the only thing is I wish there was a way to stop the couples from taking up 2 chairs to play 1 machine. They also need to bring back the chocolate ice cream. after their ice cream machine broke, they gotta get out a new one. That's serves only vanilla.

The VIP Roaring 20’s event for NYE was a bust. We waited in a long line just to get in at 7pm and stood in the cold dressed to the nines for this event for over an hour, we finally get inside to another hour long line just to get to the bar and the event room line was even longer and not to mention the. Players club…

It’s gambling so you win some and usually lose more, so not going to give a one star because I lost in gambling there. However it was sooooo damn hot in there. It was like 60 outside but inside it was probably 85. We left manly because it was so hot but also because we really weren’t doing well on the machines either.

Nice Casino and I'm always stopping in and playing with my card. And for some reason y'all got all my promotions stuff at the Norman site. I don't understand that one. I've played there maybe just maybe three times . And it's like y'all are forcing me to drive all the way back there just to get a 10 Amazon card. I…
