An amazing casino, surprisingly exotic sea life in the large seawater aquariums, and the only place where you can get 3/2 blackjack in the San Francisco Bay Area, though you have to pay $1 for every $100 you wager, whether you win, lose or push. Also, no free alcoholic drinks, or complimentary food, unless you are a…

The short version
What visitors say about Artichoke Joe's Casino
A lot of Artichoke Joe's reviewers never mention the cards. The San Bruno card room's bar and kitchen stay open late, and locals use it as a late night food stop: the counter staff are friendly, the kitchen was recently expanded with a dessert case, and happy hour beer and snacks are cheap by Peninsula standards. Some guests rate the cooking as good as a sit down restaurant, while others call it ordinary. Sports fans settle in at the bar to watch games on the TVs.
At the tables, players pay a collection on every hand, about a dollar, and free drinks or food are kept for big bettors. A few say the choice of games is thin. Security is quick to check IDs and step in, which some guests appreciate; others felt singled out, whether over wearing a hood or a bartender's refusal to serve them.

I been here many times mainly for late night food since they are open twenty four hours or when I am hungry and happen to be in the area. The security up front do ask for your ID if you look young, other than that your more than welcome to
