The short version

What visitors say about Cherokee Casino Tahlequah

Cherokee Nation's Tahlequah casino moved into a larger, modern building some years ago, and it looks sharp for its size, with display cases at the entrance, art along the halls of the nonsmoking area and two bars. Smoking is allowed in part of the floor, but strong ventilation keeps it tolerable for most. Parking is plentiful, including accessible spaces.

Dining holds up well. White Wolf Steakhouse turns out good meals, including a shrimp scampi one diner called perfectly cooked, though service can be sparse and desserts uneven, and the cafe does a decent burger. The gaming reviews are harsh. Many players call the slots some of the tightest they've played, and one regular says the bingo patterns on the screens don't match what the machines pay. Most find the floor staff friendly, but a handful describe clashes with security or managers.

Well someone needs to contact the CEO of the casino and let them no that he needs new management there the night manger should be fired or maybe the floor manger security should fire the tall native security guard with the hatful mouth and get back to making customer service a high standard .This is very hard to right…

It's really nice for a smaller Casino. They have a really good air conditioning / ventilation system so the smoke is not too bad in there. That alone makes it better than Newcastle Casino by default.

I had an ok time even though I didn't win. There's plenty of parking spots that are handicapped accessible. There's a ton of variety of games. It is a smoking location which I don't mind. They had nice display cases coming in the doors.

This was my first visit to the Casino; a group of us went to the White Wolf Steakhouse. Our meals were very good. The desserts were two really great, two were way too dry. Our server was good, but not excellent. Her presence at our table was far and few between. Beverages were not refilled. I would probably not go back again, even if I was in the area.

    Response from the owner

Thanks for your feedback, Gina! We hope you will give us another chance in the future to provide you a positive experience.
