The short version

What visitors say about Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs

Will Rogers Downs is a horse racing track outside Claremore whose casino is run by Cherokee Nation Entertainment, and the gaming floor is electronic games only, with no live or electronic table games. What sets it apart is the entertainment. Bands play on weekends on a big stage with a large dance floor that fills with two steppers, and there's a horse betting area. The kitchen does comfort food well, including fried catfish, pot roast, a grill burger and a buffet, and staff are consistently kind. One camper found the KOA campground on the grounds first rate.

Complaints center on the machines, which several regulars say have gone tight, with money gone within minutes. The game area is compact, drinks are pricey, and meal credits and extra free play now require a stack of points first.
