Choices are few in Beatty, and the Stagecoach is where many Death Valley travelers stop for the night. Remodeled rooms are large and clean, with comfortable beds and strong showers, though a few noticed sloping floors, doors that don't fit their frames and curtains that let the light in. A Denny's inside handles meals, and one guest calls its breakfast far better than expected. There's a good sized outdoor pool, and a gas station, coffee and candy shop and a Subway are next door.

The casino is the weaker half. It's old, and stale cigarette smoke fills the room and seeps into the hallways, which matters because reaching the rooms means walking through it. Slot players leave few happy reports. Older reviews mention stained carpet, mildewed grout, overpowering deodorizer and the odd desert bug indoors, and some arrivals found the front desk unattended at check in.

    Clean, convenient and cheap. We have stayed here a couple of times now and each time has been fine. This isn’t anything fancy but the beds are comfy and the shower has great pressure. You have the casino and Denny’s which is convenient, plus the candy shop with a coffee bar before you head back out on the road.…

    From the first phone call to make a reservation, to check in. Everything was friendly and helpful. The room was large and very clean. The beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

    There is not much to choose as far as places to stay in Beatty. Selected for the convenience of a restaurant on premise.     Nearby Death Valley national park. Newly remodeled room. Next to gas station, coffee shop and Subway sandwich. Denny’s restaurant and a casino are located inside the hotel. Good size outdoor swimming pool. Refill gas before heading to Death Valley national park because gas in Nevada is much cheaper than California.
