The short version

What visitors say about Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel

Turtle Creek is the casino for the Traverse City area, a short drive east of town, and many reviewers fit it into a longer trip up north. Hotel guests call the rooms clean and handsome, and the café gets warm words; the buffet and food court do not. The floor is large, with plenty of slots and live tables, and blackjack limits start low in the daytime but reach $25 on a busy Saturday night.

Players club and floor staff are usually called friendly. Bars and security draw the complaints. Reviewers describe thin staffing, with most bars shut on a holiday weekend and tables idle for lack of dealers, and several felt bartenders or guards were curt over drink orders, phone use at the bar or photos. One RV traveler found the RV park to be concrete pads with hookups at $89 a night, with no showers or laundry.

Worst casino experience I’ve ever had. It’s a holiday weekend and they have only two bartenders for the entire casino. 3 bars were closed entirely. Bartenders didn’t give us the drinks we asked for. The valet person must have had cat
