The short version
Winnemucca Inn on West Winnemucca Boulevard is a familiar overnight for travelers crossing northern Nevada, and its staff get most of the credit. Guests mention a helpful manager, careful housekeepers and a front desk that makes check in quick. Rooms tend to be large with comfortable beds. Some are in an older motel style section with parking at the door but no elevator, and guests there found stained carpet and tired furniture.
Smoke is the constant complaint. It hits as the doors open, and to reach the cafe you walk through the casino. The restaurant and its salad bar get good reviews for food and poorer ones for speed. Two gamblers found the casino bartenders rude. Rates have climbed, and several guests felt shortchanged. Pets are allowed, but more than one dog owner hit confusion over which rooms and rates applied.

We stayed one night while traveling to Elko NV. The service was very average and rooms and facility ok but not great for the money. The furnishings in the room were well used, some abused and not real clean.
For the money we expected better and given the fact that they don't offer free breakfast with room rental it's a deal breaker.
Maria is the most wonderful and talented hotel maid. Clock is always correct temperature always Great. Love staying in the rooms she has attended to. Tiffany the manager was very helpful. I very much enjoy my stays at the inn.
The rooms were nice. I had a room with the king bed. Had some chairs in there, If you wanted to sit, has a small table, small TV but big enough to see was able to talk, hook my PlayStation 5 to it. The bathroom was reasonably clean. The only thing I really noticed was the vent was really dirty above the shower.
And the food down in the dinner was pretty good.
Grabbed a late night room for the family while passing through town. The rooms were large and clean but it's disappointing to see the only way to access the cafe would be to cross through the casino. Not super kid friendly in that regard but a nice place to stay.
