The short version
Cache Creek is the big resort of the Capay Valley, far enough from the Bay Area and Sacramento that guests remark on the drive. The South Tower is the newer hotel wing, with roomy, comfortable rooms and good views, and the pools are split by age, with adults swimming by the North Tower and families by the South. A golf course, a spa, an event center and a long list of restaurants round out a stay, and the steakhouse earns the warmest reviews.
The casino is busy on weekends, with plenty of slots and tables, a nonsmoking section and a high limit room, though smoke still reaches other parts of the floor and many players find the games tight lately. Security checks IDs closely and keeps anyone under 21 out, and a couple of families were turned away on the way to a show or the buffet.

I took my parents to Cache Creek Casino for Father’s Day and we had a nice stay overall.
We stayed in the South Tower, which is the newer building. The room was very nice, clean, and had a beautiful view. The casino is large and has several restaurants and plenty of amenities.

The casino is fun, albeit kind of small for the size. Every service person we interacted with was incredibly accommodating and kind.
