The short version

What visitors say about Gun Lake Casino Resort

Since its hotel opened in 2025, Gun Lake's reviews have moved from the casino to the resort. The Oasis pool and its swim up bar are the headline, and more than one reviewer made a two and a half hour drive for it. Guests call the rooms roomy and modern, with excellent showers, and staff get wide praise. The casino is enormous, with rows of slots, plenty of tables and a poker room, though the slots are often called tight.

Dining is uneven. Sand Hill Cafe and Lucky Dragon get good words, while the buffet splits people, with critics describing lukewarm food at a stiff price.

The harshest reviews concern enforcement. Several guests say security or a manager cut them or their friends off from drinking and gambling with no clear reason. Admission is 21 and over. One guest on a three night stay says the room was never cleaned.

Our weekend stay was absolutely amazing. Our room was super nice and clean, the showers are incredible. Very fancy room vibes. The oasis swim up bar was the perfect way to spend our early evening, the casino was absolutely beautiful as well. Everything was so CLEAN! The Sandhill cafe has a great breakfast selection…

Beautiful property. Very organized and clean. Rooms are spacious and modern. The staff here are some of the kindest people I've ever come across. What a fun experience. The oasis pool is amazing. How crazy to have a hidden gem Las Vegas style pool randomly 25 minutes south of Grand Rapids!

The hotel itself was great and the room was top notch and better overall than what I generally expected for similar places I've stayed at. Great room, fantastic bathroom and one of the beter walk in showers. The pool area was also absolutely fantastic and I personally did not find anything to be drastically overpriced…

Went there last night for my son’s 21st birthday. We were having a fine time when the food and beverage manager comes up to our table and tells my good friend (who was winning) that he has to leave the table and he can no longer gamble or
