The short version

What visitors say about Kewadin Casino Hessel

Hessel's Kewadin is about as small as Michigan casinos come, a room of mostly slot machines in a rural corner of the eastern Upper Peninsula. Its fans like it for exactly that: nowhere to get lost, a low key pace, and a modest budget that lasts an evening. Staff get friendly reviews across the board, and the cafe has regulars who come back for the food. One visitor appreciated a kids' charity collection that takes the leftover change tickets too small to play.

The gripes are small as well. Some visits found nobody at the bar or food counter for a stretch, a cheesesteak and an order of wings both let people down, and a few visitors felt the welcome was chilly.

In the middle of nowhere but very nice small casino.

Got wings here and they were fatty and didn’t taste like a chicken wing

The staff is wonderful. However, I paid $14.95 for a Philly Cheesesteak on a giant bun with very little meat. It was a fine cheese and onion sandwich.
