Plenty of Peppermill's Wendover guests are road trippers pulling off Interstate 80 for a single night, and they judge it mostly on the room. Those rooms tend to be clean with good beds, though several people call them dated. Nonsmoking rooms sit at the end of very long corridors, a real walk from the casino, and even there some guests still smelled smoke. Thin walls and failed air conditioning also come up.
The casino leans heavily on slots; one regular counts around 10 tables running at a time, mostly blackjack. Dealers get mixed notes. Many are friendly, but a few are said to toss cards carelessly or chat loudly between hands. Drink service draws the most grumbling, with cocktail servers who take an order and never return. The restaurant earns praise for big portions and a good breakfast, while a longtime visitor thinks the buffet has slipped badly.

Spent a night here during a cross country road trip; stopped here ao I could throw some dice. It's a weird hotel/casino in a weird place, but it serves the purpose.

When we got here there were some problems with the room. Immediately they got us another room and fixed the problems with a smile. So grateful for all of their hard work and good help. The food is fire so good. Love the food massive portions. Amazing cooks and great service having a great time.
