The short version
The Nugget's reviews describe two different places. The casino still has loyal fans who call the floor fun, the dealers and cashiers warm, and the machines kind to them on a good night. The hotel is where things go wrong. Guest after guest reports peeling wallpaper, stained carpet, tired mattresses and showers that won't run hot. The elevators are the single biggest complaint, with one working car serving a whole wing and stairwells that don't reach every floor.
Not every stay goes badly. A few guests expected the worst from the reviews and came away happy, and one notes that rooms nearer the casino are in better shape than those in the tower. Towel and housekeeping requests can take hours, and a couple of reviewers who booked here ended up sleeping at another hotel. Some regulars now stay elsewhere in town and come over only to play.

At 101 Wendover Blvd in West Wendover, about 113 miles from Salt Lake City as the crow flies. It's a Nevada casino, so it has slot machines as well as table games, and you need to be 21 to gamble.
Yes, there's a hotel on the property, so you can stay the night instead of driving home late.
