The short version

What visitors say about Pit River Casino

Pit River is a small slot casino in Burney, about 50 miles east of Redding in mountain country close to Burney Falls. There are no table games. Guests like the door staff, free soft drinks and the bar and grill's bacon cheeseburgers and onion rings, and the gas station across the road has had the cheapest fuel in town. RV parking is available, and car shows and other events take over the lot from time to time.

It's showing its age: worn chairs, machines out of service and a players club desk that isn't always staffed. Smoking is allowed on the floor, and diners say the smell carries into the restaurant seating. The kitchen can be slow, with a few waits of nearly an hour, and some visitors felt security was heavy handed about parking and ID. It closes overnight.

This casino has both positives and negatives. One thing I really appreciate is how welcoming the staff can be. Security is often friendly, opens the door for guests, and helps create a positive first impression. The employees I've interacted with have generally been helpful and professional. The complimentary soft…

As you can see 27 lines at 1 credit which is not much of course. However I didn’t take numerous pictures of the same type of scenario. Where there was no pay out. Complete b.s. and rip off. I would not suggest dumping any money into their

There is tons of free parking. The doorman opens the door for you. We went for lunch. We got seated quickly. We ordered drinks that took a while, but were good. The food was good. Basic. The restroom was clean. Decent prices. Everything is wheelchair accessible.

This is a small casino. The staff is friendly. The place is clean. I played for few minutes and cashed out. I made a few bucks and went across the street and filled my tank at their gas station ⛽️. It was the cheapest gas in town at $5.69 per gallon. It's about 50 something miles east of Redding. It's close to beautiful Burney Falls though. That itself is worth the trip!!!
