Harrah's Gulf Coast has the setting going for it. Many rooms look out over the water, and the pool has a party feel, with a DJ and servers who come around every few minutes. The Blind Tiger, a restaurant with a patio on the water, is right across the way, and staff get warm words at the front desk and around the property. The casino is small by Caesars standards, as several people note, but it has enough machines to keep them busy.

The hotel side needs work. Guests describe dated rooms, dirty carpets, mold in showers, air conditioning that rattled or quit and lukewarm water, and towels were scarce enough that several had to hunt for them. Rooms don't always match the reservation. Smoking is allowed on the casino floor, some nonsmoking rooms smell of it, and a few players found the machines tight.

    I love Harrah's but this location is very different from the cherokee location we usually go too. The rooms were good but dated. We had 2 nights booked and they only gave us 2 towels for the entire stay. I also got very sick from the purple zebra and I am unsure how often those drink mixes are replaced but they were…

    We flew in on Caesars Air and noticed pretty quickly that a few passengers were heading to other properties—after our stay, we understood why. The rooms at Harrah’s Gulf Coast are showing their age and feel dated. Our shower valve was also

    ​We had a great overall trip to Harrah's Gulf Coast! The spa was fantastic—my wife and I both got great massages, and she loved her pedicure. The party pool was a huge hit with the kids; the DJ was a bit loud, but it set a fun ambiance. Pro tip: rent jet skis near the lighthouse nearby!
