The short version

What visitors say about Harrah's Laughlin Beach Resort & Casino

Harrah's is the Laughlin resort with its own beach on the Colorado, and that is the main reason families choose it. There's an adults only pool as well, and regulars steer each other to the North Tower, where the refreshed rooms are more modern and look across the river. Rates are low, and friendly staff come up often.

Summer is when the complaints pile up. Reviews from July describe rooms that stayed hot with the thermostat at its lowest setting despite repeated maintenance visits, a casino floor that felt warm, long lines for elevators and at check in, and housekeeping that skipped rooms or left the last guest's mess behind. Several people paid extra for a river view they didn't get. The beach and the pools closed earlier than guests expected over the holiday weekend, and the restaurants get poor marks.

The problems started the moment we walked into the casino, which had a strong musty odor. When we arrived around 10:00 p.m., the front desk was closed, with only one employee handling check-ins. Even though we were…

Extremely disappointed with our stay at Harris Hotel. We paid extra and specifically requested a riverfront view room, but instead we were given a side-view room that was absolutely not worth the price. The air conditioning in our room

I paid extra for a 'refreshed room' and yet it seems like the furnishings were from the 90s and looked like it came from a resale shop. Bed is very low to the ground. TV is old and very thick. No streaming services. Bathroom was good. I did have a very nice view of the river.

Did not eat at any restaurants so…

I recently moved to Laughlin, our apartment wasn't quite ready so we decided to have a little "staycation" at Harrah's in Laughlin, and booked two nights. Terrible decision, the experience was bad enough that I'll never stay at another
