The short version

What visitors say about Bull Durham Casino

Bull Durham is the kind of small Main Street casino regulars get protective about. Reviewers keep calling it laid back and local, and they talk about the staff in glowing terms. Players get a free hot dog or nachos with their card, drink prices aren't inflated, and nickel video poker and older slots let a modest budget last a long time. One recent reviewer calls it a good spot for smokers.

Being small cuts both ways. Older reviews describe cramped space that's hard going for disabled guests, and several players waited a long time for an attendant, whether for a machine that went down or a hand pay on a win of little more than $100. The snack counter's hours don't always match what's posted.

Wanted to grab a quick late night snack while I'm in town for a few mins. They closed early, despite the hours listed showing them open until 0200. What a shame. :(
