Heat is the most common complaint. Several guests found the air conditioning broken or feeble, with windows that open only about four inches, so rooms stayed hot even on near freezing nights. Others had no hot water, showers that wouldn't drain, dirt in the corners and worn carpets, and housekeeping that either skipped the room or knocked repeatedly during a paid late checkout. Two parties who reserved rooms for four found them given to someone else and were offered a smaller room with a sofa bed. Reviewers paying around $300 a night felt it came nowhere near worth it, and one suggests gambling here and sleeping elsewhere.

    We stayed here as a result of a hiccup on booking our hotel (totally our fault) and the desk agent at Horseshoe helped us out. We were thankful to get a room as Horseshoe was sold out. We only stayed one night, and did not need to speak with any staff here, but we did notice their absence in the evening so I can see…

    I wish I could say that this was the worst experience I’ve had at a Caesar’s property, but it isn’t. Their staff and customer service is always lack luster but this time it took the cake. I booked for Horseshoe @ Black Hawk and was advised

    This hotel is an absolute embarrassment, and I’m shocked it’s allowed to operate in this condition. The parking garage reeked of urine, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, and set the tone for the disaster that followed.     Got to the hotel an hour past check in. And our room we reserved was gone. We had a room with 2 queens

    Beds for 4 people. Then they gave us room for 3 people. The sofa bed was twin
