The short version

What visitors say about Chamonix Casino Resort

Chamonix is Cripple Creek's resort, a modern hotel connected to Bronco Billy's with amenities the rest of town doesn't have. Guests rave about the heated rooftop pool, the spa, sauna and steam room, and a lobby bar whose cocktails bring people back. Rooms are spacious and modern, and the hotel takes pets for a fee.

The problems are mostly about money and rules. Several guests found charges they didn't expect, including resort fees they felt weren't earned, a fridge charge and a smoking fee one guest had to dispute. The room fridge is a stocked minibar with no space for your own food. On site dining gets mixed notes, with one guest walking over to Bronco Billy's and another enjoying the newer Mexican restaurant. Parents with an infant were turned away from the casino floor, and a few reviewers felt security and bar staff were quick to cut people off.

We stayed at the Chamonix Casino Resort for my fiancés birthday and had a wonderful time! Cripple Creek is a quick drive from Colorado Springs / Woodland park, the roads were easy to navigate and parking was easy & self-serve - valet was also available if you're into that.

The standard king room was more spacious…

We really wanted to love our experience at the Chamonix. Cripple Creek is a quiet/sleepy town that is obviously well known for its casinos. That said, it’s important to curate an experience for your guests, because that’s all they have come

    Response from the owner

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that Becky at valet made a great impression, but we are truly sorry that the rest of your visit fell so short of expectations. We take your comments regarding check-in, room details, dining options, and overall service very seriously, and we are sharing them directly with our leadership team to ensure these issues are addressed. We hope to have the chance to deliver a much better stay for you in the future.
