The short version

What visitors say about The Brass Ass

The Brass Ass is one of the Triple Crown casinos on Bennett Avenue, and unlike many places in town it has a real table game spread, including blackjack, roulette and one of Cripple Creek's handful of craps tables. First timers say it feels more fun than some of its neighbors, with a mix of new and old machines, and the snack bar's pretzels with cheese, pizza and burgers with curly fries get good words.

Getting a drink is the constant complaint. Reviewers describe one bartender covering the room, waits of 20 minutes or more, and a floor server who could only come by once an hour. One table player found the craps table cut to five spots that regulars held all day, and roulette sometimes has no dealer late at night. A couple of longtime players call the slots the tightest in town.

Food was average at best. Service was sub par. One pizza chef went out of his way, though. We were appreciative.

I found a Brass.Ass 1.00 token in a dresser in our home. Haven't been to cripple Creek in quite a few years. Online Google search says this token can be between 10.00 and 20.00. If I make a trip to Colorado this summer is this token still able to go into a machine?

Easy way to pass a couple of hours when you’re in town, more fun feeling than some others nearby. Just wish the restrooms were updated.

My favorite is drinks were on house while we gambled, and we did it really slow since we are new to it, the bartender was very sweet and could make you any drink you want as long as…
