The short version

What visitors say about Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe

This is the old Harveys, renamed Caesars Republic in July 2025, and its reviews follow the changeover. Guests who landed in finished rooms describe a real upgrade, with modern furnishings, a good bed, lake views, and bars and restaurants that beat the usual casino fare. The address is the same prime one, with Heavenly Village across the street and the shore a few minutes away on foot.

Not every stay caught the finished version. Reviews from this year mention construction noise, a closed pool and a broken hot tub, with guests sent over to the pool at the connected hotel. Housekeeping is a common gripe: rooms serviced only every few days, or not at all. Parking costs extra, close to $50 a day by one guest's count, and several people arrived to find a different room type than the one they had booked.

You know those “Do Not Disturb” door hangers that keep housekeeping from entering your room? At this hotel, you probably won’t need one. Despite repeated requests, no one came to our room at all.

    Response from the owner

    Service: Unprofessional, Inefficient, and Dismissive

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay is very unhappy, both entirely avoidable.

Issue #1 – Wrong room type

I called ahead to confirm 2 two queen-bed rooms and repeated that at check‑in. The front desk agent nodded and handed us keys. We walked to our…
