Casinos at Lake Tahoe's South Shore

Stateline is the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe's South Shore, where the casino hotels line Highway 50 right where it crosses into South Lake Tahoe, California. Harrah's, Caesars Republic (Harveys until July 2025), Bally's and the Golden Nugget stand within a short walk of each other, close to the lake, Heavenly Village and the Tahoe Blue Events Center, while the small Tahoe Nugget sits a little farther up the road. Most reviews here are really about the hotels, and they keep returning to renovation work, parking and resort fees, and front desks stretched thin on busy weekends.

All 5 venues at Lake Tahoe's South Shore, ranked

How the ranking works. Venues are ordered by their Google rating, weighted by how many people left one: every rating is blended with a neutral 4.0 as if the venue had 200 more reviews at 4.0, so a 4.6 from thousands of reviews ranks above a 5.0 from a dozen. Sponsorship has no effect on the order. Ratings last checked October 2026.
