Lost $160 and ordered a gin and tonic. Worst drink I have ever had did not drink it. At least a half way decent drink while gambling would help. I won’t be back.

The short version
What visitors say about Tahoe Nugget Casino
The Tahoe Nugget is a small casino a short way up Highway 50 from the big Stateline resorts, reopened in 2024 in the old South Tahoe Nugget building. Its fans call it a clean, friendly local spot with a decent spread of machines. One visitor found the room dark and compared it to a small town dive bar, and more recent low ratings complain about a badly made drink and a manager's treatment of a regular. With only six reviews on file, it's a limited picture.
Written from the 6 Google reviews with text available in September 2026, Google's most relevant and its lowest rated. Places change, so take it as a guide rather than the last word.

I hit a bonus on buffalo and was around 49$ then a error code for the door came on the screen and magically erased my wins… and the bonus continued and paid me 47$ more dollars but when the bonus ended the other 49$ was still missing. I had a tech come over and check the machine and magically my other half of the win…
Really dark inside and only one slot machine that I liked to play. Reminded me of the dive bars in Montana that have a few slots.
Great local casino. Great staff, lots of perks. Fun place to play and win.
