Several guests were surprised to find two full bathrooms in their room, a shower in one and a tub in the other, and its spot on the Stateline strip puts the lake, the shops and the Heavenly gondola within walking distance. The lobby has a Starbucks for early mornings. Food opinions split: the brew pub and the upscale restaurants have fans, while others found the burgers, pizza and breakfast poor.

The building is the sticking point. Reviewers describe torn chairs, stained fabric, thin bedding, lumpy spring mattresses and decor that hasn't changed in decades, and renovation work was underway during some stays. The pool and hot tub drew complaints about grime, and a few guests had no hot water or found the last occupant's trash still in the room. Staff get split verdicts: warm praise from some, a dismissive front desk for others.

    Good stay overall. Rooms were bigger than expected and comfortable, ours had a nice view of the mountains. The casino floor was lively without being overwhelming and the bar scene was fun at night. Being right across from the lake is a big plus, you can be at the water in a few minutes.     I have been to Tahoe hundreds of times. First time staying here and it won’t be the last. So incredibly friendly from the time we checked to when we left, everyone was fantastic. The restaurant brew pub was amazing with service and food

    This property here on Stateline pretty much stayed the same over the last 20 to 30 years not much has changed or updated unfortunately. This place was home to one of the best nightclubs in the area previously known as altitude after that

    The casino is very nice and clean. The service at the bar was definitely subpar. We sat there for a good 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged. The bartender finally took our bottles that we had received on the slot floor, but never even asked if we wanted another. There is more, but I won’t bore you with that.
