The short version

What visitors say about Bally's Atlantic City Hotel & Casino

Bally's sells itself on location. It sits right on the Boardwalk with the beach steps away, and even guests who hated their stay concede the spot is hard to beat. Rewards members use it for comped nights, and the front desk gets warm reviews for quick check ins, early room access and small favors like keeping a family's rooms together. Live music at the outdoor bars adds to the summer atmosphere.

Which tower you land in matters. Guests in renovated rooms and the North Tower were impressed, while others describe dated, worn rooms with broken fixtures, dirty carpets and phones that didn't work. Hallways that smell of sewage, marijuana or stale smoke come up more than once, and rooms above the outdoor bars hear the bands until late. A couple of players felt floor staff shrugged off problems they raised.

I had one of the worst hotel experiences ever staying at Bally’s Atlantic City in the Dennis Tower, room 674. Even though this was a complimentary stay, I still spend money gambling in the casino, so I expected at least a clean and

The rooms are not in top shape. The toilet handle was broken, it is noisy with bands playing below you until midnight and just seems run down. Sewer smell in the hallways. The bar service is horrible unless you like to be ignored for a many minutes as they walk right by you and serve others first before you when at…
