The short version

What visitors say about Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa

Borgata is the Atlantic City hotel that people who have tried the others tend to put first. It sits in the marina area, away from the Boardwalk, but there is enough on site that many guests never leave: a huge casino with deep rows of slots and tables, pools, a long list of restaurants and a poker room that serious players seek out. Rooms get steady praise for feeling recently redone, with good showers and climate control.

The complaints cluster around service and upkeep. Several guests found staff at the rewards desk, the front desk and the bars curt or slow, and others describe fridges running warm, broken air conditioning and dirty sheets. Noise comes up too, from repairs next door to loud restaurants. Players club gripes range from thin comps at the top tier to an account frozen under the responsible gaming rules.

The room was clean and spacious. The TV worked and the amenities were full. It was nice to have a fridge in the room. Great to store the leftovers for a midnight snack. Point taken off for the staff behind the MGM Rewards desk. Not friendly compared to other MGM properties.
