The short version

What visitors say about Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City

Music sets the tone here. Rock memorabilia hangs around the casino, songs play throughout, and the beach and the Boardwalk are a short walk from the door. Recent guests are mostly happy with their stay, praising friendly staff and clean, roomy rooms with good showers. The rooms are aging in places, though, and not all of them have been updated.

The layout draws grumbles, since the check in desk sits by the front entrance, a long walk from the garage where most people park. Table players find the games expensive and the open seats few. The harshest reviews, many of them a year or more old, describe dirty rooms, surprise fees on the bill, parking charges that caught people off guard, and a nonsmoking reservation switched to a smoking room at arrival. A couple of guests also say the streets around the hotel don't feel safe.

What a fantastic trip. So far, the Hard Rock has been my favorite hotel I've stayed at on the strip. Hats off to Sherman for helping get in and up to my room...which had a beautiful view. Every employee minus the bartenders (because the bars were packed) were top notch. Room service was great and the food was fantastic. I'd definitely stay here again.

I personally had a great time. Unfortunately I didn't win anything. The staff were great, polite and very helpful. Our room was stunning and clean. I understand not all rooms have been updated. There were some questionable characters that were able to get access to places they shouldn't, but I never felt unsafe. I personally had a good time.
