I recommend this place for people in their 20s and 30s. The room was small and sparse. It was neat and clean. Minimal amenities, no coffee maker or fridge. Had the BEST time getting drinks from Anthony the flair bartender outside! He was energetic, excited to serve us and very engaging! Made our time at Golden Gate memorable for sure! Will definitely be coming back! ❤️

Love the location, the staff is very welcoming and friendly. The rooms aren't very big but it works out fine since you're only sleeping. The bathrooms could use brighter lighting. I had never been to Fremont Street before this hotel had the perfect location and even better staff. The rooms were kind of small but for a hotel with that much history it is definitely to be expected overall it was a comfortable stay and I would stay there again.

Do not stay here!!!!!!

Terrible bedding, lumpy mattresses, square pillows. The windows are single pane and you get blasted with loud noise from Plaza all night.

Air conditioner won't get the room under 78 degrees.

Went to the front desk and they say I can pay more to move to another room. Won't give me a refund…

I am not sure what's going on... but I did not enjoy my experience here...

1. The room was small, so small the bathroom door doesn't open all the way.

2. The bathroom vent, or lack there of... so water was dripping from ceiling...

I would not stay here again.

The room I received was extremely noisy and unsuitable for a comfortable night’s sleep. When I requested a solution, the only option presented was to pay substantially more for a different room.

Canadians Beware

Do not use ATM machines, rip you off & lots of fees involved with the Canadian at par program. Ask first …… they charge you 1.51 exchange on the ATM.

Make sure all you ID’s have the correct spelling of your first name.

Gamble there at your own risk.

We like to play downtown, so this was convenient. That was the only good thing. The front desk staff has zero personality, very sarcastic and mean. While I was checking in someone was complaining to front desk about having to wait a while
