Mystic Falls Park is the reason to see Sam's Town. The indoor atrium runs a water and laser show, and some rooms look down on it. The rest of this big Boyd resort on Boulder Highway has an Old Vegas feel, with a movie theater, bowling and a new bar and grill that early diners liked. Guests describe clean rooms, often spacious, and a quiet crowd of families and retirees, a relief for anyone who finds the Strip exhausting.

Smoke is a complaint, in the halls and even on towels in a nonsmoking room, and one longtime regular misses both the cheap buffet and the old nonsmoking section. The theater's age and ID rules turned away some teenagers. Several guests had check in trouble, including a mixed up room assignment and double charges, and the neighborhood outside is rough around the edges.

I've stayed here several times in the past. I'd say that Sam's Town has kind of the stayed the same over the years, which is a good thing. Had an excellent stay here. We spent most of our vacation outside of EDC at this hotel. They have everything you need! Clean, comfortable rooms in a safe environment. Fun casino, nice bartenders/cocktail waitresses. The staff was helpful and friendly. Lots of food options, an arcade, a movie theatre, nice pool/hot tub and super cool decor. We will absolutely be back!

Sam's Town is a cross of old vegas and great customer service. This is an older resort. The guest rooms are very spacious, and bonus a frig in the room with any extra money.The bathroom is very spacious. It has a long counter top to hold

This place is a shadow of what it was before COVID..gone is the Buffet that we enjoyed and at a price of 9.99! They also took out the non smoking area I loved. The Club card desk are from hell, so rude. We have no plans to ever return.
