The short version
Westgate is the big, older resort next to the Convention Center, and its showroom is what the happiest reviewers talk about. Guests mention music revues, magic and tribute acts, and the ushers get named and thanked again and again. Edge Steakhouse and the Benihana teppanyaki tables also get strong marks. It's off the Strip, but the monorail stop on the property gets you there.
Staying here is less predictable. Timeshare sellers work the lobby and hallways, and several people describe pitches that dragged on for hours or a fight over a deposit afterward. Rooms draw complaints about air conditioning that won't cool, leaky or noisy plumbing and patchy cleaning, and more than one guest says belongings went missing after housekeeping came through. Front desk lines can be long, rooms have no microwave, and a local regular notes that parking now costs money.

We had a great nights stay. Enjoyed the spa so much!!! Jackie was an incredible nail tech, best pedicure I have ever had. Jelly made me feel comfortable and welcome in the lovely spa.
