The Silverton's calling card is the big aquarium in the casino, where mermaid shows pull in kids and grandparents alike, and the Bass Pro Shops store next door makes it an easy family stop. It's on Blue Diamond Road, away from the Strip traffic, and people who stay here like the quieter pace. Staff get plenty of thanks, the beds are comfortable, and the cafe is a regular favorite. One visitor was let down to find no buffet.
Gamblers are tougher on it. Locals say the slots pay out less than at other neighborhood casinos, a few even say less than the Strip, and several complain that cocktail servers rarely come around. A handful of hotel guests describe tense front desk encounters and poor communication when something went wrong with their room.

Stay here once a month for work unfortunately been at least 6 trips now and never had a pleasant experience checking in. If you go to the restaurant anytime after 7-8pm they will tell you the soups are gone aka don’t want to get more out the walk in cooler and warm it up.
