Fontainebleau is the newest big resort at the north end of the Strip, sleek and spotless by most accounts. The pools get the most praise, with enough loungers that nobody has to claim one at dawn, and the gym earns top marks. Sitting up past Resorts World puts it a bus or rideshare away from the center of the Strip, and some guests count the quiet as a plus.

One guest found the casino large and calmer than most. Slot players are its harshest critics, calling the machines very tight, and a couple of table players clashed with dealers or pit bosses. Restaurants and pool drinks strike some as overpriced. For a place at this price, housekeeping draws serious complaints, with rooms skipped for days and stained towels. A couple of guests also found fees on the bill that they had been told would be waived.
