The fountains on the lake out front and the seasonal flower displays in the conservatory still pull people in, and neither costs a thing. Most reviews come from hotel guests, who describe a place that feels polished rather than themed: marble, fresh flowers, the lobby's glass ceiling, handsome rooms and a central location. The buffet gets lukewarm notes from a longtime visitor who misses the old version and a guest who balked at the price.
