Park MGM is the pick if cigarette smoke ruins Vegas for you. The whole property, casino included, is nonsmoking, and guests say the air inside simply smells clean. Longtime visitors remember it as the Monte Carlo and like the makeover. It's a manageable size, parking is painless, a tram runs to Bellagio, and the food gets real praise, Eataly in particular.

Rooms are comfortable, but the plumbing and cooling lag behind. Several guests had weak water pressure, and some had air conditioning that struggled or ran loud. There are no fridges in the rooms. Light sleepers should know that one business traveler heard the nightclub through the walls until it closed around 2 a.m.

Beware of “3 PM check-in” at Park MGM — it’s not real.

According to the front desk manager (Eric), check-in is actually a range from 3:00–6:00 PM, with no guarantee your room will be ready by 6:00 PM. This applies even if you have a reservation, paid for early check-in, or arrive at 5:40 PM like we did.
