The short version
SAHARA holds down the northern tip of the Strip, and the monorail stops right at the property, which is how many guests reach the busier resorts. Most of it has been redone. Guests in the newer towers describe clean, modern rooms, and the beds get singled out again and again. The pool has giant screens for lazy afternoons, and staff get thanked often. Chickie & Pete's earns good marks for seafood.
Arrival is the weak point. Several guests waited an hour or more to check in with only a few desks staffed, and others had rooms that never cooled down. Some couples dislike the bathrooms, where the toilet and shower sit behind sliding barn doors. Pool complaints center on cost and early closing, and one couple learned the advertised waiver on resort fees applied only to direct bookings.

Ate at Chickie & Pete's and the seafood was incredible. The crab legs were cooked to perfection. The crab fries with crab were delicious. Crab cakes...yum! Looked small, but were SO filling.
